Microwave the caramels for 30 seconds at a time until softened. Mix together. It isn't easy but its worth it.
48 caramels (1 bag)
7 1/2 tsp whipping cream
Mix
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2/3 tsp soda
Mix
1 1/8 c. butter (melted) pour in dry ingredients.
Spread Thin
- put half of the dough in the bottom of your pan (cook 10 minutes)
- sprinkle 12 ounces chocolate chips
- sprinkle 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
- pour warm caramel & whipping cream mixture
- Lay the rest of the dough on top (cook 15 minutes more)
Oven Temp: 350
